David Blaine’s Stunt: “Disappointing”
admin | 3:38 pm | September 26, 2008 | news
David Blaine has completed his 60 hour stunt which saw him hang upside-down over New York.
Despite David seeming happy with his achievement, many people felt mislead.
Shocked onlookers and fans saw him take repeated breaks during the stunt, where he was lowered to his feet to take toilet breaks and drink water!
As far as many were concerned, Blaine was going to spend the entire 60 hour stretch hanging upside-down. This seems to be just the latest in a string of disappointment for blaine fans. His last feat saw him attempt the world record for holding his breath. He didn’t make it, but his attempt was commendable.
Truthfully, I’m yet to meet a single person who is mildly impressed by his bizarre stunts. None of which are particularly exciting or entertaining. Blaine is already thinking up ideas for his next stunt. Let’s just hope he fights a lion. In a straight jacket.
David Blaine’s Latest Stunt Begins

Magician David Blaine has begun his three day challenge, hanging upside-down from a wire.
The popular street magic performer has been hoisted up by his heels above New York’s Wollmann ice rink.
According to David, his head felt like it was “about to explode”. As with his previous stunts, doctors have warned about possible blood circulation problems, blah blah.
For those of you wondering how he ‘goes’ without weeing in his own face, he uses a catheter. What a dignified performer he has become.
What happened to the cool street magic and snappy card sleights? I wouldn’t say going from performing mini miracolous feats of card magic to hanging upside-down for three days is much of an advancement of a career, but I suppose it grabs the attention of the media.
Maybe this is what the masses want to see from David Blaine. Although I suspect that when people have been saying they want to see David Blaine hang, this is not quite what they had in mind.
